I am Martin Bimler, a Master's student at the Univertity of Texas at Austin in the Depatment of Advertising. It was especially great working on the James Webb Young project because I am an aspiring Copywriter. It was very reassuring to see that copywriters, like JWY, are expected to be knowledgable about the advertising industry and its practices. Too often there is a drive within the Creative realm of advertising which sells the sizzle and not the steak. Viva la strategy!
I will complete my degree in May of 1998, so if any of you people out there in front of a glowing radiation terminal would like to offer me a job ... E-mail Me! If you can't offer me a job, I would still appreciate suggestions for both my career in advertising and for this web site. I am still learning the technology, but I did write all of the HTML code myself, and used Illistrator 7.0 and Photoshop 4.0 to create the animated gif and image map.
I hope you enjoyed this site, and remember to think about everyone that has gone before in this industry; there are some messages they sold that we should all buy.
