At the time of her induction, Ms. Polykoff became the first living woman elected to the Advertising Hall of Fame, and only the third female. John Elliott, Jr., then chairman of Ogilvy & Mather International, said about the inductees, "They are giants of the advertising business, who have done themselves and their industry at large proud" (Dougherty, 1981).
