LOVING CARE ADVERTISEMENTS

In 1968, three-page gate-fold ads for Loving Care were placed in magazines. Just as the "Does she... or doesn't she?" ads, the Loving Care ads were quite successful. Below are a couple examples of typical Loving Care advertisements:

Page one: (Husband reading newspaper at breakfast. Wife looking neglected. Hair streaky gray.)

Caption: "What would your husband do if you suddenly looked ten years younger?"

Small Type: "Turn the page and see."

Two-page spread: (Shows husband with wife cradled in his arms. Her hair now all shiny brown with no trace of gray. Both are laughing joyously, lasciviously.)

Caption: "Try a little Loving Care and see!"

"What would your husband do if suddenly
you looked 10 years younger?
Why not try a little Loving Care and see!"

"Hate that gray? Wash it away!
Color only the gray without changing your natural hair color."
