Order Effects Theory

Though no real definitions are available, but one could attempt to define Order effects theory or its reason-to-be: To explain how and why does the order of information within a communication or in successive communications affect our opinions, attitudes and impressions. How are different order effects perceived under varying situations? In order to explain the Order effects theory we sequentially review and discuss some of the main topics: Primacy-Recency, Climax-Anticlimax and Pyramidal Order, Positioning of desirable versus undesirable issues, Need arousal and Information Order in a message
