We go from mass, personal, to interactive, where advertisers maintain majority of control and power of persuasion.  However, the age of the consumer is coming, in fact it is already here.   And it may require some negotiation on the part of the agency, not the consumer.  “It is an entirely new mechanism, a revolutionary change, that begins with the audience controlling the conversation.  There’s no history” (Kincaid).  But, I feel that a future does exist, for both them and us.

In the infamous words of Shel Silverstein, let's not tug o' war, but hug o' war. So, I say let's hug it out, and reach a compromise. What better way to end this paper, than to show a consumer-generated clip, where an every-day person is advertising for their very own campaign, "The Free Hugs Campaign." Come on advertisers, you know you want one!
