Video games have always been a nice distraction . In fact, according to CNBC News, it is estimated that just over 75% of US households make video gaming part of their daily activities.

"Gamevertising" has been on the rise and it seems there's no limit.

In the gaming world games vary from fantasy to real-life to strategic, to sporting games and advertisers have found a home in all of them.

Utilizing virtual world sponsorships, to sponsored levels and even "outdoor" advertising within the virtual world has all been done.

With video gaming on a steady incline it is expected that "gamevertising" will be close behind.

This is an example of where else the in game advertising could go. Like traditional "gamevertising " you can see the billboard in the midst of the MLB game here on the left. you can also see a power aid bottle there in the background but most importantly is the new option that is presented.

Gamers, using their controller, have the opportunity to learn more about the product, save the info for later viewing, or even purchase the product from their game console. Much like online shopping this is a real time option that can capture that consumer at just the right moment.
