INTRODUCTION
 

Consumers are increasingly attracted to wireless home living because of its flexibility and ease of mobility. While early adopters may have been the first to move to wireless living, more mainstream consumers, including advertisers, are beginning to see the benefits of living and working wirelessly. Due to the shift, the market more than doubled between 2002 and 2004, guided by strong sales of wireless computing and entertainment devices.

WIRELESS
Soon, people will no longer need to connect, plug in, install, enable, or configure any device to anything else. Some technologies are already in commercial deployment but still find resistance from an entrenched compteting technology, while others are still on the drawing board, struggling to find the right cost/performance ratio for widespread acceptance. Currently, the wireless market is segmented by computing, entertainment and household CE devices. The following report will briefly confront the three divisions, and then provide two in-depth analyses of specific advancements currently employing such technologies.
