Professor and Everett D. Collier Centennial Chair in Communication.
Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Communications);
M.S., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Advertising);
B.S., Ferris State College (Marketing). Before joining the
Department of Advertising, Dr. Leckenby was Professor of Advertising
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His major
interests are in the fields of media reach/frequency models
and copy research. Dr. Leckenby's publications include one
book and articles that have appeared in Journal of Advertising,
Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Broadcasting, Journalism
Quarterly, Journal of Marketing Research, Current Issues and
Research in Advertising, and Journal of Advertising Research,
among others. Dr. Leckenby was Chair of the Department of
Advertising from 1985 to 1987. He has served on the Copy Research
Council of the Advertising Research Foundation, and as President
of the American Academy of Advertising.
